Faux Chiptune Music?

Not sure what to call this but Fake Chiptune Music.  I’ve been working on creating some patches on my Fantom XR that I can only describe as fake analog/fm/chiptune sounds.  It’s been fun.  There are actually a lot of tracks I have saved that utilize these sounds, that with a little more work I may record later.

For now, here are two songs.  A recreation of the menu music from Wolfenstein 3D, and some background music from Warcraft 2.

Enjoy!

If Harry Potter was a DOS Adventure Game…

If Harry Potter was a DOS Adventure Game, I imagine it would sound something like this.  The original FM sequence was composed by my friend Andre.  We remixed it into an orchestral piece the other day, and gave it the Roland XV-5080 /  Fantom XR / SRX Expansion Board treatment.  We had a blast making this remix!

The original FM version is queued first, in the player below.  The remix will play after.  Enjoy!
