I was extremely excited.\u00a0 I scoured the interwebs looking for all the information I could find.\u00a0 Luckily I didn&#8217;t have to scour for too long.\u00a0 Which was good, because I always get blisters afterword and it chafes.\u00a0 You know like when&#8230; um..\u00a0 Ahem.\u00a0 Anyway as I was saying, Telltale Games had now officially announced that they were making an all new 5 part episodic Monkey Island game! <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">&#8220;Hooray!\u00a0 It&#8217;s about damn time!\u00a0 Finally!&#8221; I exclaimed. Then, I saw the trailer and some of the screenshots they had available.  At first I had some misgivings about it.\u00a0 I felt the textures were of low quality, they had no new music yet, and basically it was not a finished product.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">But, after Telltale&#8217;s seminars<span style=\"color: #666699;\">*<\/span>, motivational lectures<span style=\"color: #666699;\">*<\/span>, and audio books on parrot<span style=\"color: #666699;\">*<\/span>, I&#8217;ve become a vicious devoted fan!<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>I thoroughly enjoyed the game!<\/strong> For me it completely captures the essence of Monkey Island. <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>The Good:<\/strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s an all new Monkey Island game!\u00a0 What more do you need to know really?<\/li>\n<li>The game immerses you into the world of Monkey Island well enough that you want to know what types of other adventures Guybrush has been on, or relive them if you&#8217;ve played the previous games.\n<ul>\n<li>Some of the in-jokes are designed well enough to be obvious to an MI fan, while not degrading to the game continuity to pirate wannabes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The humor was spot on and only a touch more sophisticated.\u00a0 After all, it has been almost ten years since the last game!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Dominic Armato totally nails Guybrush in the new adventure!\u00a0 Every line is just as great as I expected, as if there were any doubts.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">I daresay that the voice acting overall in this game is some of the finest I&#8217;ve had the pleasure to play through since probably Grand Theft Auto IV.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The artwork, models, and locations all look fantastic.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The animation\u00a0 is also quite well done, comical and over the top, or pretty natural looking depending on what&#8217;s needed.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The music, well it&#8217;s new Monkey Island music composed by an artist who has worked on music for every previous MI game!<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">You want the short version?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The music is really great!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>The Less Awesome:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Well, I suppose now you want to hear some of the things I didn&#8217;t like eh?\u00a0 I mean, this can&#8217;t be all happy pixies and fairydust can it?\u00a0 CAN IT??\u00a0 OF COARSE NOT!\u00a0 NOW!\u00a0 SOME OF The &#8212; I&#8217;ll stop yelling now &#8212; <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Some of the things about the game that annoyed\/bothered me or I felt could have been done better are as follows: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">First, I now have to wait for the next episode to be released! \ud83d\ude41<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Second, there is a classic joke used in the MI games by which you are presented some dialog choices and no matter what one you pick, Guybrush will say something else.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Usually, this is a dialog choice along the lines of something like: &#8220;I can&#8217;t think of anything I would hate more!&#8221; or &#8220;For the love of god, NO!&#8221;.\u00a0 See?
